The short version. DoseWise is a local-first app. The health information you enter — doses, weight, side effects and related notes — is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud under your Apple ID. There is no DoseWise account and no DoseWise server that collects your health data. We don’t use third-party analytics or advertising, and we never sell your data.

This Privacy Policy explains how DoseWise (“DoseWise,” “the app,” “we,” “us”) handles information. It applies to the DoseWise iOS application. By using DoseWise you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses the DoseWise app. It describes how the app handles the information you put into it and the limited technical data involved in providing subscriptions through Apple. It does not cover Apple’s own services (such as iCloud or the App Store), which are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

2. What information DoseWise handles

DoseWise is a companion for people using GLP-1 medications. Everything the app works with is information you choose to enter, for example:

  • Medications you record and your own dose plans, doses you log, and injection-site history;
  • Side effects and symptoms you log, and — only if you turn it on — optional cycle information;
  • Body measurements you enter, such as weight, and protein, hydration, or training check-ins;
  • App preferences and settings (units, goals, reminder settings, and similar).

You are not required to create an account, and DoseWise does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to function.

3. Where your data is stored

DoseWise is local-first. The information you enter is stored on your device. When iCloud sync is enabled in the app, DoseWise keeps a copy in your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) under your Apple ID so it can sync across your devices; while that feature is not enabled, your data stays only on your device. In either case the data remains within your own Apple environment.

There is no DoseWise account system and no DoseWise server that stores your health information. The developer does not receive, host, or have access to the doses, weight, side effects, or other health details you record.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

DoseWise can optionally connect to Apple Health, and only if you choose to turn it on. There are two separate, independently optional connections:

  • Weight. When you enable weight sync, DoseWise reads and writes weight so your charts stay in step with Health.
  • Nutrition (dietary protein and water). When you separately enable nutrition sync, DoseWise reads dietary protein and water only, so your protein and hydration logs stay in sync. This connection is read-only — DoseWise does not write nutrition data back to Health.

Nothing else is read from Health. If you never enable a connection, no Health data of that kind is accessed. In every case this data moves between the app and Apple Health on your device under your control; it is not sent to any developer server. Data obtained from Apple Health is not used for advertising and is never sold. You can turn either connection off at any time in the app or in the iOS Health settings.

5. Notifications

Reminders and summaries are delivered as local notifications scheduled on your device. There is no push server involved, so scheduling a reminder does not send your information anywhere. Notifications are only shown if you grant notification permission, which the app requests at the moment you first turn a reminder on.

6. Subscriptions & RevenueCat

DoseWise offers an optional subscription (“DoseWise Plus”). Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store. Your payment details are handled by Apple; the developer never sees your card or billing information.

To manage subscription status (for example, to know whether Plus features should be unlocked and to restore purchases), DoseWise uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. In this role RevenueCat may process a randomly generated, app-specific identifier and purchase/transaction information provided by the App Store (such as the product purchased and whether a subscription is active). This information is used only to operate subscriptions and entitlements. It is not your health data, and it is not used for advertising. RevenueCat processes this data as a service provider; see RevenueCat’s own privacy policy for details.

7. No analytics, no ads, no sale

  • DoseWise does not include third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
  • DoseWise contains no advertising and does not use advertising identifiers.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we do not share it for marketing.
  • This website itself sets no cookies and loads no third-party trackers.

8. Exports you choose to share

DoseWise can create files at your request — for example a CSV export of your records or a one-page PDF report for an appointment. These files are generated on your device and go only where you send them using the standard iOS share sheet (for example, saving to Files, or sending to an app or person you pick). DoseWise does not upload them anywhere on its own.

9. Keeping & deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, you control it. You can edit or delete individual records inside the app. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; data stored in your iCloud is managed through your Apple ID and iOS/iCloud settings. If you no longer wish to keep a subscription, you can cancel it in your App Store account settings.

10. Children

DoseWise is intended for adults managing their own treatment and is not directed to children. It is not designed for and should not be used by children.

11. Security

Your data benefits from the security of your device and your Apple account, including device passcode/biometric protection and the protections Apple applies to iCloud. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but keeping data within your own Apple environment — rather than on a developer-run server — significantly reduces exposure. Please keep your device and Apple ID protected.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves or as legal requirements change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this address. Significant changes may also be noted in the app.

13. Contact
